SADLY THIS LOCATION IS NOW CLOSED.

Looks can be deceiving, and this hidden escape room is prime example. Sporting a small illuminated sign above an entrance to what appears to be a flat above a parade of shops, you would expect this to be a low budget, poor quality room - it certainly is not!

Greeted at the front door by a hugely welcoming member of staff, you make your way up stairs to a small yet comfortable waiting room.

An informative yet brief discussion then follows providing the rules of the room (plus the offer of water to take into the room if you wish!)  A few steps then take you to the door of your room.

Currently, Time2Escape have two rooms;

1) You're Next - A horror themed room, based on a old mansion, you must flee before you become the evenings "entertainment"!

2) Break Out - A prison themed escape where you must escape before the guards return!

It should also be noted that Time2Escape have also been known to put on a special Halloween event at an actual abandoned cottage. Known as "I'm Watching You", classified as an ultimate horror escape experience, this sells out fast. So keep watching this website and the Time2Escape website for further details.

I have had the pleasure of trying two of their rooms as follows;

YOU'RE NEXT!
You're Next.png

This is actually the first escape room that I played and is the reason for my slight obsession! If that isn't an indication of how good this room is then nothing is!

The room is based around the fact that you have been invited for an evening of entertainment at a mansion house, however you soon discover that you will become tonight's "entertainment" if you do not escape with the hour.

This room is very tense and has a real creepy feel. Eerie music, some slightly disturbing items and a dimly lit room make this an awesome experience. I spent most of the hour waiting for someone to jump out on me!

The room has some good shocks and surprises along the way, great theme, good attention to detail and an ever evolving story line which builds brilliantly.

Would I recommend this room?

Yes, for sure. The eerie feel, good puzzles and evolving story line makes this a winner.

Who would I recommend it to?

Newcomers and experienced escapists alike. This has a great balance of slightly easier and tricky puzzles.

How many players would I recommend?

Any number between 4-6. Although the room isn't very large, the volume of puzzles within needs a few brains!  â€‹

Suitable for Children?

Not particularly. Over 12's should be fine however given the theme, the eerie feel and the story line, it will likely be a bit heavy for younger guests!

BREAK OUT

You finally have your opportunity to escape prison and taste freedom. You have one hour before the prison guards return  to you face lifetime behind bars!

Many escape rooms these days have quite complex themes where you have to find a cure or plans or carry out something. This is a throw back to what an escape room should really be - You actually just need to escape!

Simplicity is often the key to escape rooms and this one hits the nail on the head. Locked in a prison cell with very little inside it, you must solve a series of evolving puzzles, where each one pays reference to the last one, before making making your way out and tasting freedom.

Some great use of effects, a variety of physical and mental challenges, some great riddles and a simple yet effective story make this a great room to experience!

Would I recommend this room?

Yes. A simple theme, some tricky yet achievable challenges and good use of effects make this a worth while way to spend an hour!

Who would I recommend it to?

Great for experienced and newcomers alike. Newcomers would struggle on some of the trickier challenges but methodical brains will achieve!

How many players would I recommend?

Between 2-4. The room isn't very large and although there aren't a huge amount of puzzles to complete, having a few different mindsets will certainly be helpful.  â€‹

Suitable for Children?

There isn't anything to scary or gruesome inside so I don't see it being an issue. The room owners suggest 13 years +.
